Privacy Notice
Last updated 10 August 2026
This notice explains what Legacy collects when you use this website and join our waitlist, and the choices you have. The short version: we collect your email address only when you give it to us, we use it only to confirm your signup and share launch news, and we delete it on request.
Who we are
Legacy (working title) is the controller of the information described here. Contact us about privacy at privacy@family.thelegacywallet.app.
What we collect, and why
Waitlist email address — collected with your consent when you submit the form, and used only to send you a welcome note and, later, news that early access has opened. We also record which page you signed up from, so we can tell which description of the product people respond to. Anti-abuse data — when a form is submitted we record a salted, one-way hash of the submitting network address for up to 30 days, on the basis of our legitimate interest in preventing spam and abuse. It cannot be turned back into your address, and we delete it automatically. This website sets no advertising or tracking cookies and loads no third-party trackers.
Where your data lives
Waitlist data is stored in the European Union. Confirmation emails are sent through an email delivery provider under a data-processing agreement; we share nothing beyond what sending the email requires.
How long we keep it
We keep your email address until you unsubscribe, ask us to delete it, or the waitlist closes — whichever comes first. The anti-abuse hashes described above are deleted automatically after 30 days.
Your rights
You can ask for a copy of the information we hold about you, correct it, or have it deleted at any time — email privacy@family.thelegacywallet.app and we will act on it promptly. Deletion is real: the row holding your email is permanently removed. You also have the right to complain to your data-protection authority (in the UK, the ICO).
Changes
If this notice changes in a way that matters, we will email confirmed waitlist members before the change takes effect.
